Hello there! Welcome to the webpage for the incredible Iota Kappa chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.!
Since May 12, 1972, the young women of the Iota Kappa Chapter have been the movers and shakers on the campuses of Arizona State University. Our sorority was founded on the principles of Scholarship, Sisterhood, and Service. As well as being members of our illustrious organization, we are involved in many areas of our communities: from participating in organizations we're passionate about, to actively volunteering across the valley, to striving for academic excellence, IK is heavily involved! As college-educated, young women of Delta Sigma Theta, it is near and dear to our hearts that we are dedicated to serving our communities in many aspects both locally and in our hometowns. Our hearts are devoted to social action so we graciously encourage that you're as active in your communities as we try to be!
The events that we host and participate in throughout the year revolve around our sorority’s National Five Point Programmatic Thrusts:
- Economic Development
- Educational Development
- International Awareness and Involvement
- Physical and Mental Health
- Political Awareness and Involvement
In the political climate that we find ourselves in today, social action stands as the primary focus for our organization.
We advise anyone who is interested to get involved with the community. Find your passion and give back!
I can't wait to meet and speak with you! Best of luck during your journey at Arizona State!
